A few Thank You cards

One of the girls I work with asked if I'd make her a few 'Thank You' cards for her son's teachers. So these are what I came up with:

I guess I shouldn't have said, "I came up with." really because I think all of them were sketch challenges from somewhere....either SCS or someone else's blog.

You KNOW I couldn't resist a changito!!! :)

That's all for now.
I'm off for the next couple of days so HOPEFULLY I'll get a chance to create and play some more before going back to work. First, I guess, I should clean up my mess from today!
Check back in when you can and leave a comment too...I enjoy the feedback/suggestions! :)
Have a GREeeeaaaaT week! -I reminded myself of Tony the Tiger there for a second!! LOL

Mas Changitos

I tell ya-I just can't get enough of these little guys!

The stamp set, Changito Amigos, is by Stampendous, of course. This is another stamp I picked up last week. I've been DYING to use it. I picked up this paper a while ago and kind of forgot all about it.

I don't really have a 'reason' for the card....just made it. I've been WANTING to 'create and play' all day, I just haven't been real inspired. I go back to work tomorrow evening so I figured if I was going to get ANY play time in I'd better get going and since the boys are all outside....
I FINALLY took a minute to make a 'ribbon blossom'. I've been wanting to for some time and just haven't but I thought it would be perfect for this card what with that one chango giving the rasberries and all! Pam Bassett (aka 4 Hounds on SCS) has an AWESOME tutorial on her blog. It was A LOT easier than I thought it was going to be. I have a feeling I'll be using MORE of them!!
Leave a comment and let me know what you think. ;)
Well the boys just came in for lunch--it's finishing up in the oven but I'd better get down there and see what they're up to. The sooner I make them happy the sooner I can get them back outside working so I can get back to playing!!

Another Bday card for tonight.....

I'm pretty sure this card is going to be for my brother. I do believe he's going to be 19 on the 10th of April. Isn't that horrible! I can't remember if he'll be 19 or 20.....but I'm pretty sure he's going to be 19. He likes monkeys and I LOVE these changito stamps by Stampendous. Slowly I'm collecting them 'all'. HAD to use that 'Happy Birthday' cuttlebug embossing folder again, of course! :) Some cardstock is SU! some CTMH and the patterned paper is scraps from....somewhere. I'm tired and I think I'm going to head off to bed BUT I'm glad I've got another card done. If I can make another up for my sister, who's bday is the 2nd, I can put them all in the box going out for my mom tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by.
Come back again soon! :)

Hang in there Changito

Here's a quick card I made up with some of the Stampendous 'Changito the monkey' stamps I was talking about in my earlier post. I was SO anxious to use this stamp because I KNEW I had this paper........OLD CTMH..and I knew it would work. The bigger, green, banana leaves are on pop dots.
I had a friend in mind to send this to but it's a little masculine looking to me. Don't 'cha think?? So now I'm thinking maybe I'll send it on over to my dad. He's still recovering from his double knee replacements but let me tell you--he's doing GREAT!! He was a little discouraged there for a while--(he sets SUPER high expectations for himself-guess that's where I get it?!) Anyways he's doing real well now. He even snow plowed for like 8 hours the other day and is now driving himself to PT. He's also lost 25 pounds!! GO DAD!! I'm SO proud of him!
I guess I'll have to just make ANOTHER card for that friend! Oh Darn!! {smile}
I REALLY need to clean up this 'scrap room'. Katrina and I have a 'play date' on Wednesday and if we're going to be here I'm going to need to have a place for her to sit/stamp and play!!!
Just one more card.................................

Beate's WSC35

Here's my try at Beate's WSC35 (I think....).
Gosh, I haven't had time to participate in one of her weekend challenges for a few weeks so it sure was fun to have the time to do this one. I bought this stamp last week while we were in Wenatchee thinking I would use it for Joe's Valentine's Day card. Mmmm, better late than never????

Anyways, here it is:

This stamp is from Stampendous and when I saw it I KNEW I NEEDED to have it. Joe and I just have that 'monkey love' kinda thing going on. :)
I also picked up the Stampendous 'Changito the Monkey' set (clear stamps). I can't WAIT to get a few minutes and use them!! Maybe when I get back from picking up Nikki. I'll be sure and post if I do. :)
Alright, well, that's all for now....
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!!
