Baroque Motifs

A good friend of mine called last night and asked if I could make her up a few cards. I worked last night so I told her I'd work on them between today and tomorrow to get them to her ASAP.
I came home from work this morning, was exhausted, and went to bed for a while. After I woke up, not too long ago, I started working on them.
This is the first one I've come up with: (She needs 3 'boy', 2 'girl' cards). I'm hoping this one could be unisex???
I used:
Baroque Motif's stamp set (SU!)
Chocolate Chip ink & cardstock (SU!)
Crystal Blue ink and cardstock (CTMH)
Garden Meadow cardstock (CTMH)
Pattern paper (Vibrant-from WalMart)
I believe the satin ribbon to be Offray and finally a gem from who knows where....I think I've had them since Nikki (who is now 14) was little, little!!
Originally I had a different 'vision' but I'm happy with how it turned out. Hopefully she will be too!
I have the next FIVE days off!! YIPPEE!!
I have OODLES I'd LIKE to get accomplished within those 5 days so it'll be interesting to see what actually DOES get accomplished! :)
Until the next card.......
Enjoy the rest of your day!

A few Thank You cards

One of the girls I work with asked if I'd make her a few 'Thank You' cards for her son's teachers. So these are what I came up with:

I guess I shouldn't have said, "I came up with." really because I think all of them were sketch challenges from somewhere....either SCS or someone else's blog.

You KNOW I couldn't resist a changito!!! :)

That's all for now.
I'm off for the next couple of days so HOPEFULLY I'll get a chance to create and play some more before going back to work. First, I guess, I should clean up my mess from today!
Check back in when you can and leave a comment too...I enjoy the feedback/suggestions! :)
Have a GREeeeaaaaT week! -I reminded myself of Tony the Tiger there for a second!! LOL

Happy Birthday Tori!!

This card is for my BF's daughter Tori!!

The last time I saw her I didn't have her gift with me---I didn't have a card at the time either so now I have a card to go with her gift. :)
Nikki has been into hippos for some time now so I'm hoping Tori will like THIS hippo!!
Hopefully I'll get a chance to create some time soon---though I don't see it happening THIS week. Busy, busy..........

Fabulous Flowers

I've been working on this card 'on and off' all morning. I started it this morning before getting the kids ready for school and on the bus---errr, well, Nikki gets herself ready but you know what I mean--I worked on it a little more in between moving some furniture around and reorganizing a bit....then of course I was chatting online with a friend but the stickles was drying so it's not like I COULD have really been doing MUCH anyways...
Well, it's finally done!! I'm going to post it and go take a nap. NOT because making this card was SO draining {smile} but because I have to work tonight, and tomorrow night AND Saturday night. SO, you probably won't see much from me for the next few days at least. I tell you, those 5 days off in a row are NICE but it sure makes it hard goin' back!! Smiles-and enjoy the rest of the week!!

Cards for tonight's party

This is a little box I made up using Beate's tutorial. Click here to see.
I did add some patterned paper to the upper sides. The plain pink just looked like it needed SOMETHING and I needed something in a 'jiffy'. I may even add a heart I have already stamped up from the Always set with some stickles on it. I just LOVE the stickles on that heart!!! :)

And these are two of the quick and easy cards I've made up as samples for tonights party. (My FIRST SU! gathering!! WooHoo!) :)

Let me know what you think......

-Thanks for stopping by today!

Two Valentine's Day cards....

I was just 'play'in around' trying to figure out what I'm going to do tomorrow night.......
I used Berry Bliss paper. BEAUTIFUL. I just LOVE this paper!!
I used two different stamp rollers-they're kinda fun. I've not used them much before but I think I can see where they could be addicting. :) I used a ruler as a guide this time but I may just have to invest in the guide SU! has!

Ahhhh--for this one I used the Always set (SU!) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set! Beautiful!! And PERFECT for Valentine's Day!! I'm going to add a sentiment to the bottom of this card...just haven't figured out which one yet. I added stickles to the swirley's. It looks SO much prettier IRL.
Alright, off to get my chill'in's ready for school!!

Time Well Spent

This is a quick card I made up with the FREE Hostess set Demonstrators got from SU! Paper is $Dollar Store$ paper. I love the bright colors!! They're just 'cheery'! :)
I'm playing with the idea of putting SOMETHING in the upper left corner....I dunno. Sometimes less is more but sometimes....it isn't!! :) Maybe I'll add some ribbon??

I used Liquid glass on "FRIENDS". I've had to cut down my tip- so it's not as 'in the lines' as it COULD be but it'll do.
I applied crystal stickles to the flowers

Happy Heart Day numero dos..

...I just LOVE this paper!!
I added stickles to the hearts on the card from the earlier post too. Just a little extra added touch but not too much if ya know what I mean.... :)
I dunno if I can do another card....I'm fadin' fast!!
Now to find some envelopes to fit these 5.25x5.25 cards. UGH! If anyone knows where I can find 'em, leave a comment and let me know would ya??

Happy Heart Day!

I came home from work this morning, got the kids on the bus and off to school and decided before I was going to 'nap' I was going to 'play' for a bit. After perusing a few blogs, and casing a few cards, I got to work!! :)

For this card I used the NEW! Ginger Blossom papers and the Happy Heart Day stamp set (both from SU! of course). SO TOTALLY LOVE 'em BOTH!!!
Taking a closer look at this card now, I see a few things I would add and/or change-an 'oops' or two. There are 2-hmmm, actually 3 things in particular that I would FOR sure change. ONE I can...the others, though it COULD be changed it's not a big enough deal for me to take things apart. Can you figure out what they might be?
Alright, I'm off to work on card #2 for the day, unless of course I fall asleep first!!
